It’s a game of mindset!!
LRDI is said to be the most challenging and tough part or section of C.A.T. After starting the paper, we can split the answer into preparation and strategy. You can find all the important questions which have the potency to repeat in the current year on https://www.percentilers.in/.

Preparation
1. We can start our preparation by studying books such as Arun Sharma for LR or any modules from coaching centers. We can take help of them in solving basic questions of seating arrangements, Rankings, Venn diagram, Games and Tournaments, Puzzles,
Quantitative Reasoning etc. These questions help in logical development and are never asked directly in the exam
2. Learning how to interpret a bar graph and pie chart is also important. Although IIM’s have now nulled the DI section, it is important to know them as they help in improving calculation speed.
3. The most important part of the preparation is the MOCK TESTS as questions asked in CAT EXAM are really unique, so questions in the LRDI section of the previous year helps in preparing. Solving as many as possible SIMCAT AND AIMCAT can help. starting with the simpler, the easy mock tests, and then gradually going towards the harder ones by
focusing on solving can up the game.
4. We should solve at least 1 LR and 1 DI set every day. The more you practice, the better you will get eventually. It is better to take one thing at a time and not leave it for the last day. You can refer to any of the books available in the market or material provided by your coaching institute.
5. Different approaches to different types of questions. There is a limit to the sets that can be made. Also, focus on the thought process. When you see a set, if by looking at a set, you know you can do it, you are ahead of a lot of people.
It is also said that playing Sudoku helps in enhancing logical and reasoning skills which are a part of the LRDI section

WHILE TAKING MOCK TESTS, THERE IS A STRATERGYWHICH WE CAN FOLLOW IN EXAM AS WELL,
After doing the preparation and doing the mock test, we can put a lot of focus on the three most important aspects of solving any LRDI set.
1. Choice of set
2. Cracking the base logic early on
3. Leaving a question if it requires a lot of time
a. Scanning the test- no need to hurry, first we should glance at the paper for 4 to 5 minutes and see for the questions which we can do easily and which are tough one write them on the rough pad, Then solve the sets one by one in the preferred order.
 Set Selection – The most important skill set in LRDI. Normally, there are 3 to 4 easy sets and then a few moderates, tough ones are low in no. There is no particular method to find out which set is easy and which one is tough. Only practice can help you with this categorization. Now, while practicing a mock test, first pick up the set which is small in size and not very data-heavy, e.g., Arrangement and order questions, 3-set Venn Diagram, a DI question with just one or two graphs and less calculation-intensive, etc. Leave the tougher ones for last, e.g., a 4-set Venn diagram with too much information, an arrangement question with many variables, a games and tournaments question consisting of many rounds, etc.
So, basically, you have to make sure that you solve at least 2 sets in the first 15–20 minutes. It will boost your confidence, and then you can search for 3–4 more doable sets for the next 40–45 minutes.

 The Art of Leaving the question if taking too much time
- The second most important thing while solving an LRDI paper. If you have picked up a set, spent 3–4 minutes on it, and it is still not getting anywhere, leave it. Yes, leave the set if you are not getting anything. If you are not able to solve it now, leave it. Go to another question. Every minute is important. You can’t keep on spending 15–20 minutes on a set.
You must have heard that ‘LRDI requires a lot of practice’. This statement is correct but incomplete. If you keep practicing the lengthier method of solving the question, you won’t get better. The right approach is important even if we know how to do a problem in a number of ways.
