Puzzles to enhance LRDI SKILLS

So there are not only one but many ways to enhance LRDI skills
  • Solving R.S. AGGARWAL BOOKS, at least 20 QUES per day can be a good start.
  • Studying every mathematics book from 1st STD. To 10th STD. For resurfacing the idea of logical reasoning.
  • Playing at least one Sudoku daily. It's really worth it
  • Preparing and learning mathematical tables up to 30 properly.
  •  Not compulsory but if possible, start taking coaching from reputed CAT coaching institutes. It will provide you proper guidelines.
Many top tier exams of various field and streams have logical reasoning and
data interpretation as their important element in their papers, which makes it
crucial for us to have a good hold on them. There are tricks and puzzles to
improve logical reasoning and Data Interpretation skills.

1. For Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, previous year papers

and mock tests are really very important. A wonderful resource can
be institute based mock tests and previous year papers. These are mostly required after doing basic time and work management and strategic planning, these mocks are the second stage or second step of the ladder. Rules of grammar are very important to solve the problems of sentence corrections. You need to improve your skills in Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by doing some basic stuff first.
2.Getting a straightforward problem in CAT is highly unlikely, or for that matter in any other management entrance exam, these days. But to become capable of solving those questions, you need to solve some easy questions first. There are plenty of good books available that will provide you with a large set of easy and basic questions before the advanced ones.
3. Dedicate two days of the week to Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation (one each). Spend the majority of your time solving basic questions, watching video tutorials for the hard stuff, going through the solved examples for the previous year papers, etc. Some portion of the day should be used in trying to solve difficult questions but not more than 2-3 sets. Also, whichever sets your attempt – make sure you have a detailed solution of the same available with you.
4. Games like chess, minesweeper, and even Clash of Clans also help to build strategy. Games like chess require one to predict or assume the next move of the opponent and accordingly shape tactics. Also, one’s skills one of the limited resources and time are put to test, as to how much can we conquer in less time. Playing these games is exciting and in the process lies the decision-making craft of the players.

5. A jigsaw puzzle is completing an entire picture from the constituent small oddly shaped pieces with a picture on it by assembling them together using one’s logical reasoning skills. All the fitting pieces must be accurately attached while completing the jigsaw puzzle. Although this is a child game, it can help one to exercise his/her mental faculties thereby improving logical skills. 

6.Watching suspense and thrillers show or movies also help our brain to exercise our focus on different aspects of a character which can be helped one in enhancing their skills.

7.Solving a Rubik’s cube is a fun activity that involves visual intelligence and surely it improves one’s mental reflexes. To develop a wider perception, People solve it themselves to create their own understanding of the cube. It also includes analytical abilities that involve recognizing images and other objects in their surroundings. It keeps the brain active and helps in eye coordination.

To sum up, one needs to keep pushing his/her mental boundaries and
consistently exercise the power of his/her reasoning to become a top-notch
performer in this zone where most of the students fail to score well.
